Universal WIRELESS chrger 4 rechargeble devices
Today almost all the new gadgets that we use like mobile, I-pod, laptops, PDAs Etc, Need to be charged and for charging them we have to connect them to individual charges. Moreover the present universal chargers are not compatible with all the devices so we always have to carry a no of chargers. Not only this, we have to search for electric sockets for charging these devices. So I thought of a really universal charger (A single charger) that can charge all the devices either it is laptop ,PDAs ,Mobile phones ,i-pod etc .This device does not require any cables to be plugged in to the device which has to be charge .That is its wireless and this is what makes it a real universal charger. “So Now U Need To Carry a Single Portable Charger for All Your Devices.”
This device has been actually made in a college Lab (Madhya Pradesh)
and I was delighted to see that it was charging all the devices tested. The device is two modules, with a base unit connected to AC power, and a receiving end unit that is permanently attached to or integrated in the portable device. By placing the portable device on the base unit, it will provide power to the device’s power input port. This allows the device to be recharged without having to plug in any wires. With the present design we are able to charge device at a distance of 0.5meter also. The device consists of AC/AC adapter frequency converter that increases the 50Hz input AC power to a frequency suitable for our application. This frequency converter passes the high frequency AC power through an inductor, creating the primary half of a transformer. This provides the field necessary to power the charging system. The Receiving Inductor captures energy from the EM field of the base inductor, effectively completing the transformer. The turn’s ratio is chosen to provide the appropriate voltage. The rectifier converts the induced AC power into DC power. This block also contains additional components necessary to filter the output. Voltage and Current Regulation and Control convert the rectified DC power into a constant DC voltage, and prevent current spikes. Output Wiring and Connector connects the output of the charger to the devices DC input. The wiring will be unobtrusive ,sturdy and permanently fitted in device.Hence “There is NO NEED OF THE CHARGING PORTS in your laptop, phones ,PDAs etc.” THE FUTURE OF THIS DEVICE: - in future this device can be used somewhat like a WI-FI connection which is available in public place like railway stations, bus stands etc or a office campus, hotels etc and u have to just select charge option on your device or push a button and your device will starts getting charged, Without your search for power plugs or charging stations.

CrazyEngineers
Crazy Crazy-Engineers!
One unfine day….. I was just too strained about searching a good seminar topic. In the process-e-panic, I called up my old friend for getting a high-quality suggestion. He got vacant initially and kept wondering to sincerely help me! I thought calling up people wouldn’t fetch me any thing appealing…ultimately I apologized to perturb him!
Again the hunt began. Thanks to the World Wide Web!…suddenly I got an impressive list of ‘Ultimate mini project ideas and seminar topics for telecommunication engineering’. A guy named Ash had posted it on a web site named Crazy Engineers! After exploring more I realized it’s a mesmerizing forum and thus the quest for fun and knowledge began… I couldn’t stop myself from registering and there it said…Welcome Raviteja.g…immediately after choosing a nice topic I posted to Ash. Thanks to him I was helped at right time. Otherwise the rising mercury in my head would have burstd the whole system..!!
What attracts me the best is that CE is the user-friendliest forum I ever came across. Everything technical, non-technical is so resourcefully managed. And how can I forget those strict warnings of Biggie!… “slang is not allowed”…and all those reasons justifying why not to use sms text! I must say my writing improved allot!…big deal Biggie..!
Ya! Biggie!..the Big_k…Kaustubh..the good administrator! He has worked inventively. From identifying all the imperfections to managing the posts. From organizing contests to everything else. Its just too much on CE. Good number of activities! According to me Biggie is a very good senior…sometimes you can bully him too (I like doing that!) and wonder you can bully your seniors too! wink!
Sorry to the rest of the team coz I hardly know anyone else apart from Ash and Biggie. But I’m sure it’s a freaking team. (was hoping to meet everyone at CE Mumbai meet and wanted to come along with my friends…but had good amount of imp work the same day…sad!)
No wonder ….. we’re smart, we’re brilliant, we’re just awesome! Just like our crazy engineers!
I wish CE flourishes sky high with more number of admirers each day…each moment. Looking at the team CE I realized what wonders we all could do by being a part of it. Gaining knowledge is the key motive while fun and frolic is in our blood stream!
We at CE share a good relationship of being crazy engineers!
PS: friends commenting to this post, if possible, mention what attracts you the most about CE! Don’t you think this will help us understanding CE more?!!

Chandrayan-I
After the successful history of launching satellites to space, India now has taken a mission of sending its first lunar craft to moon. This will enable scientists to get more information about moon.
ISRO says : “In Chandrayaan-1, the lunar craft would be launched using Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) weighing 1304 kg at launch and 590 kg at lunar orbit. Lunar craft would orbit around moon 100 km from moon surface.”
This space craft will be launched from Shriharikota on 22nd October 2008.
Here is an excerpt from ISRO’s website :
“The Chandrayaan-1 mission is aimed at high-resolution remote sensing of the moon in visible, near infrared(NIR), low energy X-rays and high-energy X-ray regions. Specifically the objectives will be
A) To prepare a three-dimensional atlas (with a high spatial and altitude resolution of 5-10m) of both near and far side of the moon.
B) To conduct chemical and mineralogical mapping of the entire lunar surface for distribution of elements such as Magnesium, Aluminum, Silicon, Calcium, Iron and Titanium with a spatial resolution of about 25 km and high atomic number elements such as Radon, Uranium & Thorium with a spatial resolution of about 20 km.
Mission Objectives:
A) To realise the mission goal of harnessing the science payloads, lunar craft and the launch vehicle with suitable ground support systems including DSN station.
B) To realise the integration and testing, launching and achieving lunar polar orbit of about 100 km, in-orbit operation of experiments, communication/ telecommand, telemetry data reception, quick look data and archival for scientific utilization by identified group of scientists.”
